The Town of South Denver included polo grounds south of Cherry Creek, the University of Denver and the Seminary which was surrounded by land that later became the Bonnie Brae, Belcaro and Cory-Merrill neighborhoods.
Today the Cory-Merrill neighborhood is changing rapidly. Smaller homes built in the 1930's and after have been scraped, and large homes and multifamily duplexes have been built while maintaining some of the architectural integrity of the neighborhood. With the five-year rebuild of Interstate-25 finished, it brought the neighborhood light rail service.
